Description
Iona is one of the coolest vineyards in the Cape at 420m above sea level above the Elgin Valley. The wine has a complex medley of tropical fruits, mingled with subtle lime and gooseberry undertones. The palate is balanced and rich, showing cut green apple and a great minerality. Sophie te’Blanche is a nickname given by those including vineyard workers who can’t pronounce Sauvignon Blanc.
