Description
Winemaker Ben Walgate was the formed chief executive at the highly regarded English wine producer Gusbourne. Tillingham is Ben’s own biodynamic English winery based in Peasmarsh, East Sussex where he is making wines naturally, with low intevention and the use of old oak and the underground vessel the Georgian the qveri.
This wine is a blend of Pinot Noir, Schonburger, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier sourced from local growers. This wine has a short maceration and spontaneous wild fermentation, 1/3 is aged in Burgundy barrels which were stirred on lees daily. The wine is bottled with some residual sugar, which results in a gentle petillance.
