Domaine les 4 Vents is located in Mercurol in the heart of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. The estate extends over 10 hectares, 9 red and 1 white. The wine is made with respect for the environment and minimal intervention in the vineyard and the cellar, this is to have a wine that expresses the terroir in an authentic manner. Harvest is manual and winemaking is done without chaptalisation or acidification and without the addition of sulphur.
The Cuvée Saint Jaimes is made from a parcel of 40 year old vines planted by young winemaker Lucie’s grandfather. This wine is produced biodynamically with utmost care in the vineyard and winery. The wine is matured in one year 600l demi-muids. This has more depth and complexity than ‘les Pitchounettes’ made from younger vines, and will gain more complexity when cellared.
