Description
Ben Sichel has been transforming Angludet in recent years and they now operate completely Bio-dynamically in the vineyards. He’s changed the élevage considerably too. The 2019 seems to be a great new marker for this Margaux stalwart.
From the off this unleashes a charm offensive, with lots going on. Delicious and vibrant aromatics waft from the glass. There is good weight and impact on the pretty nose. Following to the palate where sweet damson and black raspberry flesh intertwine on a soft bed of round velvety tannins. This has good drive and a caressing feel. The fruit here clearly got nicely ripe – but this stops short of being rich. Just a real pleasure to taste and neatly layered. It finishes with a good line of juiciness that asks you back for more.
