Description
Pujanza Norte 2018 won wine of the year in Decanter in 2022. The Bodegas modern approach is one of vineyard site rather than time spent in oak.
The Norte is a single vineyard in Laguardia DOCa, it is in direct line of the winds from the north and the soil is clay over limestone rock. The vineyard is also high altitude at 720m which brings to the wine a real freshness. This wine is made from Tempranillo and is aged for 16 months in French oak. It has wild berry notes along with spice and integrated oak. An elegant wine but powerful and really well balanced.
A wine to savour and enjoy with special dishes, such as slow cooked lamb or a dish with wild mushrooms.
