Description

Time to expand your wine drinking horizons with this eclectic mix of wines, this would also be a great gift for a wine lover to surprise them with something they haven’t tried before!

Tenuta Laramé Terre del Conte, Roero Arneis

This relatively unknown variety gives lovely, complex white wines. It has delicate aromas of melon, green hazelnut, citrus and some exotic notes. The palate is dry and fresh with a long finish.

Domaine Gueguen Saint Bris, Burgundy

Sauvignon Blanc is unlikely to be new to a wine drinker but from this tiny region near Chablis it may well be! New to our range from the only appellation in Burgundy permitted to make wines from the Sauvignon Blanc grape. Golden yellow with green hues this wine has a lovely nose of white peach, blackcurrant leaf and grapefruit. On the palate notes of pear and pineapple with a fine streak of minerality.

Funkstille Gruner Veltliner, Austria

We all need a little ‘Funkstille’ (radio silence) in our life now and again. Kick back and take a moment to enjoy the silence with a glass of Grüner Veltliner from Austria. With its subtle exotic hints, ripe pear and fresh citrus, it’s a dry wine with complex flavours. The palate is rich with hints of melon and grapefruit with a refreshing, zippy finish.

Cabane Langhe, Northern Italy

We are loving the reds from Northern Italy at the moment. This Langhe is a unique velvety wine, which blends the full body of Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruity notes of Barbera, and the elegance, complexity, and rich bouquet of Nebbiolo.

An intense mouthful, evolving from roses and red fruits through to tobacco, and toasty smoke. A well-balanced wine with a smooth finish.

Chatzivaritis, Mosaic Red, Greece

The Greeks have been making wine for years, but very few wines made it to the UK until recently. This is definitely a Country to get excited about in terms of different grape varieties and styles. A beautiful organic red blend of Negoska, Xinomavro, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Bright red in with violet hints. It has intense aromas of red berries intermingled with jasmine and sweet spice.

Saint Pourcain, Les Terres d’Ocre Instan, Loire

An organic wine from an upstream satellite of the eastern Loire wine region. This juicy red is 65% Gamay and 35% Pinot – perfumed and fruit it has black forest fruits with subtle spice, the Pinot Noir gives a black cherry note and also finesse!
