Description
The Bornard Savagnin Les Chassagnes is a small vineyard plot on limestone interspersed with deposits of marl and clay. Made in the Ouille style, minimising oxidation by topping up the barrels. The wine still has a slight oxidative edge which gives it a beautiful, nutty, savoury, umami quality that makes for compelling drinking, this is backed by notes of grapefruit, almonds and hazelnuts and a long compelling finish.
