Description
Certified organic, the Vesco family make fragrant wines that are among the finest in western Sicily. Vicoletto is a new project showcasing the character of Catarratto grapes grown on the hills of Alcamo. 90% of this wine are fermented off the skins while the remaining 10% undergoes skin-contact fermentation for 12 days. Only natural yeasts are used and the final wine is bottled unfiltered, unfined and without addition of sulphur.
It is slightly hazy orange – on the nose expressive notes of citrus, grapefruit, crisp apple and white fleshed fruits. These bright fruity notes carry on tot he palate where there is a balance from hints of Mediterranean herbs. Lightly chill to 14 degrees – so not too cold, a great pasta wine or chickpea salads.
