The Manolesakis estate was established by Stavros Manolesakis and his father George in 1999. They had begun planting their own vineyards in 1989. The vineyards are in Drama, a region of Macedonia (a northern region of Greece), at 200 to 300 metres above sea level. The quality of the fruit is improving with each vintage as the fruit matures. The ‘Exis’ is a blend of two indigenous Greek varietals,55% Malagousia and 45% Assyrtiko. The wine is only made from free run juice and matures for two months on its fine lees after fermentation, adding texture and body.
Aromatic fruit characters with tropical notes of melon, peach, pineapple and apricot. Smooth and creamy on the palate balanced by a refreshing acidity. A great match with fresh Mediterranean cuisine.
