Luis Pato has been making wine since 1980, he now has 60 hectares of vines and his wines enjoy a fantastic global reputation. The Vinhas Velhas Branco by Luis Pato is made from a blend of 50% Bical, 25% Cerceal and 25% Sercialinho. Fermented in stainless steel vats, the wine is then aged in chestnut casks for 4 months. Waxy with some nutty flavours as well as minerals, lemons and a nice buttered toast character. The finish is very long and displays great balance. Great with fish and shellfish.
