Description
100% Savagnin from 75-year-old vines grown organically and planted on a soil of gray and blue marl soils, South/East exposure. Manual harvesting and small yields of 15 hl/ha. 36 months of aging in barrels of 300 liters that have seen several wines, on total lees. This is a topped-up cuvée, and therefore non-oxidative. Bottled at the Estate without fining or filtration, without added sulphites.
Magnificent expression of this grape variety with notes of candied citrus fruits, citron, inshell almonds, dried apricots… Palate: volume, great tension, finish with a saline hint, incredible length. Yet another success by François!
