A family Domaine based in Savigny Les Beaune managed today by sisters Juliette and Caroline. (6th generation). The Domaine may be relatively unheard of even though it is over 90 years old, but until the sisters took over they used to sell everything to the negocé. Each year since taking over they have bottled more on their small bottling machine for customers mainly in Belgium and France – and now the UK!
All of the vines are in Savigny Les Beaune district of the Cote de Beaune, most of which are red wines, So this is a bit of a rarity to have a white wine! All vineyard and cellar work is done by the sisters and harvesting is done by hand. Traditional winemaking methods are used. The Savigny white are distinct and mellow with time. Rich and generous, but balanced and fruity. Some have been compared to their famous and close neighbours, the Corton Charlemagne. The wine is certified organic.
