Domaine Gueguen is based in the small village of Prehy just outside of Chablis. Winemakers Celine and Frederic have 23 hectares of vines in the village of Chablis, Chichée, La Chapelle Vaupelteigne, Saint-Bris and Irancy. Celine comes from a family of wine growers, originally from Saint Bris Le Vineaux. After working for her father Jean-Marc Brocard on his estate for 13 years the husband and wife team decided to go it alone in 2013 and create their own wines.
The Cotes Salines is made from fruit sourced from the vineyards in the village of Prehy close to Chablis-classified vineyards.
On the nose the wine offers notes of white flowers, almonds and toast. The palate it has good acidity, with a lovely saline mineral streak. The finish is long with notes of honey.
