Description
Domaine Gueguen is based in the small village of Prehy just outside of Chablis. Winemakers Celine and Frederic have 23 hectares of vines in the village of Chablis, Chichée, La Chapelle Vaupelteigne, Saint-Bris and Irancy. Celine comes from a family of wine growers, originally from Saint Bris Le Vineaux. After working for her father Jean-Marc Brocard on his estate for 13 years the husband and wife team decided to go it alone in 2013 and create their own wines.
The Chablis is made from fruit grown by 40 year old vines from vineyards near Chichée and Prehy, based on Kimmeridgian soil.
Tasting Note
The wine has a bright yellow colour, with a fine and very fruity nose with hints of white fruit and citrus fruits. The mouth is supple and fresh, with a lovely long pronounced finish.
