Belondrade y Lurton is owned by Didier Belondrade, a frenchman with a vision for high quality wine made from Verdejo in Rueda. He combines the finest wine from 19 different plots with 300 litre french oak barrels. The result demonstrates both the quality of the grape and its ability to age.
“The smoky nose promises a richly textured palate. So it proves: initially lime and passion fruit with mouthwatering freshness, building up to a voluptuously creamy textured finish. Very long and brilliantly integrated 10 months in French oak.” Sarah Jane Evans MW, Decanter April 2014.
