Belondrade y Lurton is owned by Didier Belondrade, a frenchman with a vision for high quality wine made from Verdejo in Rueda. He combines the finest wine from 22 different plots with 300 litre french oak barrels. The result demonstrates both the quality of the grape and its ability to age.
“Hand harvested selection of grapes from 22 organic estate plots, wild-yeast fermented and left on its lees for 10 months in 300 litre French oak barrels. Complex, high-toned aromas and flavours of tropical fruit, lime zest and herbal notes with an almost oily, unctuous richness to the full bodied palate. Polished, structured and long with good ageing potential.” Decanter Magazine March 2019, ‘Vying For Verdejo’ Tina Gellie. Drink 2019-2023.
