The Springbank Cask Strength is annual limited release that always a treat. The 2019 Autumn edition was aged in 65% Bourbon and 35% Sherry cask, and comes in at 57.1%. The nose has an intriguing blend of oregano and lavender followed by the sweetness of marzipan and honeycomb. On the palate its a lovely warm butterscotch sponge with chantilly cream, as well as treacle, orange rind and salted pretzels. Then there is the typical Springbank coastal saline note. It has velvety refined finish with salted milk chocolate and cherries.
