An Old Tom Style Gin from Italy. Old Tom Gin is sweeter the London Dry gin, and represents a stage in gins development from Dutch Genever. The lower sweetness than Dutch Genever, meant an increase in alcohol and gin starting to become known as ‘Mothers Ruin’.
The main botanicals used in the Crocodile Gin are juniper berries, coriander, elderflower, Jamaican pepper and citrus (which has been infused in unfermented grape juice, giving the Gin its sweetness).
The Crocodile Gin is very fresh, with intense aromas of juniper and citrus, surrounded by nuances of coriander, elderflower and Jamaican pepper. On the palate it is full bodied and smooth, gently softened by notes of vanilla and exotic spices.
