Les Athletes du Vin is a negociant project focussed on producing some great, typical wines from the Loire valley. We came across these wines on a trip to Saumur and loved their fun, fruity and easy drinking nature. They are what the French call ‘Vin du Soif’ and can be drunk with friends on their own or with food. The wines are a great introduction to the wines of the Loire.
A fun and fruity fizz, and is a superb value alternative to Champagne. Ripe and green apples on the nose, follow through on the palate and it finishes refreshingly citrus and dry.
