Description
The Château de Selve was originally a stronghold on the borders of the Empire and the Kingdom of France. It was then the hunting relay of an illustrious Vivarais family, the dukes of Joyeuse, before becoming over the centuries a farm. This sublime Rosé is made from the classic Southern France blend of Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault. The wine is partially oaked with 70% of the wine ageing for 6 months on lees in ex-Chateau d’Yquem Sauternes casks. It is bottles unfined and unfiltered.
Tasting Note
This Rosé balances subtle red berry notes with hints of citrus fruit, it has delightful acidity with hints of orange blossom and honeysuckle. This is great with food and will age well.
