Yvon Metras is considered one of the finest producers in Beaujolais. He is part of the gang of five pioneering natural winegrowers in the region, Thevenet, Lapierre, Foillard and Breton. He farms just under 6 hectares organically, producing small quantities of high quality Beaujolais from a number of Crus. The Metras Fleurie is produced from semi-carbonic maceration at very low temperatures, preserving the essential fruit characteristics of Gamay.
Beautiful perfumed wine, open and aromatic red fruits on the nose, showing red cherries with hints of herbs and spice. Supple and elegant with lovely purity under the cherry fruit. Very fine and elegant with delicacy and purity.
