Description
A pure and fruity wine, with a charming nose of floral notes (violets and peony) and small red berries. The tannins are very smooth and the wine is in perfect balance.
The vines are found on dry granite soil on south facing hills around the village of Regnie. Gentle extraction of the wine helps bring structure whilst retaining the elegance of the terroir. Bottling is done at the estate with no fining or filtration and no sulphur is used in the making.
Pair this to grilled red meats, salads and picnics. A particular favourite pairing is with terrines and mature comté or cheddar.
