Description
The Vietti winery traces its roots back to the 19th century, but it was in the 20th Century that it became a winery and offered bottles of its own wines. The wines come from Castiglione Falletto vineyards, in the heart of the Barolo zone. The region has sandy/calcareous soil and this gives a unique elegant tannins.
Grapes for this wine are mostly all included in the Barolo and Babaresco area. The wine spends 2 years in big Slavonian casks and the different parcels of wines are then blended in tank before bottling.
The wine has generous layers of fruit, menthol and spice. Strong and intense when young, this leads to a complex and elegant wine with some ageing.
