Description
This remarkable wine is made basically from Mencia, with a touch of Alicante Bouchet and a drop of Bastardo and other red varieties. Grown in sandy-limestone soils, most of the vines are over 50 years old. The grapes were hand harvested and meticulously vinified by the one and only Raul Perez. After macerating for a long time, they were fermented and aged for 11 months in French oak barrels.
