The 2019 vintage was excellent in Austria. The result is a bright, blue-fruited Blaufrankisch that delivers a balance of ripeness and power, while managing to remain fresh and lively. Organic and biological vineyard practices. Fermented spontaneously with native yeast in open-top vats. No new wood. Aging occurs in 500 Liter Stockinger barrels and is bottled in summer. A wine that is all about fruit and earth, with dark, textural tannins that will age well for at least another five or six years in the cellar or can be drunk now.
