Description
Philippe Alliet is one of the best producers of Cabernet Franc in the Loire. He has been located in the Cravant-les-Coteaux (the location of some of the finest Cabernet Franc vineyards in the Loire), in the heart of the Chinon appellation, since 1985. Philippe aims to produce wines with the concentration, density and structure of fine Bordeaux. He achieves this by keeping yields very low – circa 28hl/ha – and picking grapes at optimal ripeness.
