Nebbiolo grapes (same as Barolo) come from the terraced vineyards of Sondrio. Southern exposure. Sand, silt, limestone. 48,000 bottles.
Grapes are gently destemmed, and lightly pressed and then sent into stainless steel. 8 months in stainless steel and then in bottle for further ageing. (unoaked).
Berries, cherry, currant, strawberry. Hints of rose and violets. It is fresh and dry, light but complex.
Serve with appetisers, soups, white meats, casseroles, creamy cheese. This would also be the best Pizza red you have ever had!
