Description
The Luis Canas Rioja Reserva is the highlight of their range. Since 1928 the Canas family has passionately led the winery that bears its name with devotion for the grapes which are the essence of the best wines from Rioja Alavesa. Luis Canas owns 118 Hectares of vineyards and controls 220 more from regular trusted suppliers, average vine age is more than 40 years. The wines spends 18 months in barriques (French and American) and is a blend of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano.
Tasting Note
The wine has sweet, dark fruit over a base of balsamic notes. Tannins are very well integrated and this leads on to a long, balanced finish.
