Les Athletes du Vin is a negociant project focussed on producing some great, typical wines from the Loire valley. We came across these wines on a trip to Saumur and loved their fun, fruity and easy drinking nature. They are what the French call ‘Vin du Soif’ and can be drunk with friends on their own or with food. The wines are a great introduction to the wines of the Loire.
100% Cabernet France gives a fun nose of red and black fruits, violets and a touch of earthiness. The tannins are soft and relatively light. A really refreshing red wine that you could pair to a charcuterie and cheese plate, sausages or duck.
