We are very pleased to offer you the first chance to secure a trio of Domaine Lapierre’s 2022 wines. Now run by Marcel’s children, Mathieu and Camille, today this 18 hectare estate is over 100 years old and the vineyards have been cultivated biodynamically since the 1980s. In addition to the flagship Morgon Cuvee Vieilles Vignes, they also made a very small amount of their site-specific Cuvee Camille and Cuvee Marcel Lapierre, only made in the best years.
Lapierre Morgon Vieilles Vignes 2022
The classic Morgon from Lapierre comes from old vines, with an average age of 70 years. This cuvee is unfiltered and has very light SO2 addition prior to bottling. Combining lightness and richness, it has an aging potential of around ten years on average. 13.5%
Lapierre Morgon Camille 2022
Cuvée Camille comes from an old plot on the Côte du Py (with south-west exposure, in shallow soil). The grapes go through the same meticulous stages as the Morgon, except that the vatting will be longer and done 100% in truncated wooden vats. This cuvee was born when Camille (Marcel’s daughter) returned to the Domaine, but is also a nod to her grandfather also called Camille (Marcel’s father). Only 90 bottles made it to the UK. 13.5%
Morgon Cuvée Marcel Lapierre MMXXII 2022
