Description
Domaine Gueguen are based in the small village of Prehy, just a few kilometres away from Chablis. Their Domaine overlooks the picturesque vineyards. Simon and Heather came across Celine and Frederic’s wines on a stopover on a road trip through Burgundy, and were really impressed with their wines. Celine is from a family of winegrowers and after working for her father Jean-Marc Brocard for 13 years, and Frederic working for both Domaine Durup and J-M Brocard, they decided to set out on their own.
Irancy is a small village just near Chablis known for its red wines made from predominantly Pinot Noir. It has an abundance of red fruit on the nose such as strawberry, along with red and black cherry. It is aromatic and slightly floral – with age it develops spicy notes and hints of truffle. We love the elegance of this wine and the fact that it can pair to many different dishes; charcuterie, duck, beef or cheese.
