Description
This Pinot Noir from Oregon is made from Estate fruit as well as Pinot from surrounding vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills.
Cristom was established in 1992 by Paul Gerrie and his wife Eileen, the Estate is now in its second generation. Winemaking philosophy is natural with whole cluster fermentation by native yeasts. Cristom is recognised as a leading producer in the Willamette Valley.
“A very spicy and fresh array of blueberries, ripe darker cherries and plums. Cassis aromas too, as well as more savoury notes of graphite and fragrant wood. The palate has very striking depth and presence with expansive, fleshy tannins carrying intense fruit flavours, in the darker spectrum of cherries and berries, Cocoa powder to close.” (2/2020) James Suckling 94 Points
