Description
The Château de la Selve Florence is the top red by the Château. Made from a blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 20% Cinsault from two parcels on contrasting soils. The wines is fermented in demi-muids over a period of 40 days before ageing for 18 months in barrel. The wine is bottled unfiltered or fined and bottled with just 25mg/l of SO2.
Tasting Note
Dark purple in colour, expressive and complex nose expressing black fruits, licorice and forest floor. In the mouth, powerful and elegant, extremely fine tannins, freshness, long and aromatic finish. Fun to drink now, but will reward cellaring up to 15 years.
