Description
Caritas is a relatively new winery, led by husband-and-wife team John Raytek and Phoebe Bass. Centrally located in Northern Sonoma County, Ceritas makes terroir-driven wines with sourced grapes that are farmed organically and without irrigation. This Pinot Noir hails from Elliot Vineyard which was planted in 1981 to the Mt. Eden clone of Pinot Noir. The grapes here are harvested in multiple passes, allowing maximum site expression. The wine is typically bright and delicate, offering light perfume and excellent transparency.
