Description

Palacio Quemado is located in Extremadura, DO Ribera del Guadiana, in South West Spain. The winery has 230 acres of 16 year old vines. Founded in 1999 by the 8th Generation of the Alvear family (known for their wines in Montilla). Their aim is to make pure and authentic wines that express the terroir of each parcel.  Since 2013 no pesticides are used, and only small doses of sulphur throughout the winemaking process. There is minimal intervention in the winery and great care is taken at every stage. Ageing is done in second use 500 litre barriques.

This wine is made from the oldest Tempranillo grapes, the wine is complex and elegant with beautiful balance between fruit notes and a mineral background. A wine for red meats, charcuterie, cheese, grilled fish or paella.
