The Liberator wine series show cases exciting wines from sources cloaked in secrecy. This case has two of their best releases from the last year and contains three bottles of each at a terrific price.
Chenin N.5 Episode 29 – This superb Chenin Blanc comes from the generous post-drought vintage and was destined to be part of a new project which failed to materialise, so the wine was pounced on to release through the Liberator series. Delicious now, it could be expected to evolve and gain additional complexity over the next two to three years.
Opposites Attract Episode 32 – Made from the unorthodox blend of 71% Shiraz, 16% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc. This showcases how these very different grapes can work together quite beautifully.
