Equipo Navazos have been sourcing rare and unique ‘Botas’ throughout Sherry region since 2005. These ‘Botas’ have generally have small bottling runs and offer Sherry of special finesse and complexity. This ‘Bota’ is from a single cask with a unique character. Located at the extreme of the solera, the average age of the wine is 15 years old. However, what really makes the wine unique is that the butts are filled to a “tocadedos” level – well above the 5/6 mark that is common in the sherry district.
Intense and steely salty notes on the palate back by a chalky minerality. This wine has an amazing level of finesse and depth.
