Fattoria E Villa di Rignana, Tuscany 2014
Our first visit to the beautiful countryside of Tuscany we conveniently found ourselves at the Panzano Wine fair in the heart of Chianti.
Valdespino Sherry Lunch at Moro 2013
It's not every day you get invited up to London to have lunch at Moro and join in on a masterclass hosted by Miguel Montero of Valdespino sherry so I jumped at the chance. Sherry is having a real resurgence in the UK, and particularly in London where places like Moro, Brindisa and Barrafina are creating some amazing dishes and tapas to go with the different styles. Sherry is no longer thought of as a drink for your Aunt at Christmas!
Another cool climate region to watch….
An hour flight south of Perth is the Great Southern - as soon as I stepped off the plane it was noticeably cooler and greener, a complete contrast to Barossa. Now I truly believe this region will become as big as Margaret River for wines, and in fact we were told that China has already cottoned on to this fact!
Barossa
I've had a jam packed few days down here in South Australia. Starting our journey in Barossa, a two hour drive out of Adelaide. The first thing I noticed is was how dry it is compared to New South Wales and altitude wise a lot lower. Barossa is about 100m above sea level on the valley floor and climbs to between 440 and 650 metres.

Orange
This will be short and sweet, just arrived in Hunter after an epic 7 hr journey from Orange.
