On a bright August day I was lucky to be invited to visit one of the most exciting projects in English wine at the moment, Ben Walgate's Tillingham Wines.

Wine Merchants often look forward to the different seasons, with each season a certain style of wine tends to dominate our sales. Bordeaux and Burgundy in December, Rioja around Easter time, Beaujolais for Nouveau in November - but one of my favourites is Rosé season, to me this indicates the start of the Summer!

I took advantage of being in London at the end of a long weekend to take in a tasting on leafy Upper Street in North Islington. The tasting was a range tasting of Equipo Navazos.

Fattoria di Rignana Impresses in Decanter Chianti Classico Tasting
Fattoria di Rignana's Chianti Classico Riserva and Gran Selezione were both highly recommended (90-94pts) by Decanter in this month's (May 2018) Chianti Classico Top Tier panel tasting. We have been the sole UK stockist of their wines, since Simon and Heather visited the Fattoria in 2014.
