Since 1928 the Canas family has passionately led the winery that bears its name with devotion for the grapes which are the essence of the best wines from Rioja Alavesa. Luis Canas owns 118 Hectares of vineyards and controls 220 more from regular trusted suppliers, average vine age is more than 40 years.
Tasting Note
The Crianza is 95% Tempranillo and 5% Garnacha, it spends 12 months in oak barrels (both French and American). It has a lovely fruity character on the nose with aromas of strawberry and hints of vanilla, cedar and balsamic aromas. On the palate it is enveloping and dense with dark fruit notes and an acidity that gives a lovely freshness to the wine. A great match to lamb or beef.
