A Short Trip to Bordeaux
I was lucky to go on a trip to Bordeaux this Autumn. I was hosted for the trip by CIVB, the Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux, who market the full range of Bordeaux wines throughout the world. The trip aimed to give me an overview of each of the major areas within the region, visiting and trying wines from a variety of producers to give me an insight into the variety of wines that this huge area produces.

We have just returned from our annual pilgrimage to Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia. It has now become our tradition to pop on our running shoes and run in the Sherry race, which involves running 14km around the hills of Jerez with optional stops for sherry and tapas along the way!

About an hours drive or 100km east of Beaune is the Jura region. This region is famous for two things, yellow wine or Vin Jaune and Comté cheese!
